Mrs. Wenzel's class enjoyed creating one-inch people and original houses at the end of our Different Lands Similar Stories Unit. The students had read the stories Tom Thumb from England, Thumbelina from Denmark, and Issun Boshi from Japan. Then they compared and contrasted the stories with a Venn Diagram. The students also did two other sets of three stories that had common themes. The unit was enjoyed by all and the students got a chance to show their creativity.
