The Junior Kindergarten Students at Walworth Elementary recently had amazing experiences at Heyer True Value. The children used drills, hammers, saws, and gadgets. They measured, built, and created rain sticks under the leadership and supervision of Mary Heyer, Scott Kovarik, Olivia Kovarik, and Sydney Bender. We had a refreshing picnic after the FUN!
Thank you Heyer for gifting your time and resources for this incredible hands-on learning opportunity. We LOVED this day!

In honor of Memorial Day, the kindergarten students attended a flag presentation given by Mr. Kahl a member Ingalls-Koeppen American Legion Post 102 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2373. Mr. Kahl talked with the children about flag etiquette, what the stars and stripes signify, and how to fold the flag. Each child was also presented with their very own flag to keep! A special thank you to Mr. Kahl for this meaningful and important lesson. 🇺🇸

You are invited to the 8th Grade Future Career Fair on Tuesday, May 30th, from 8:30–10:00 AM. The eighth grade students researched a career of their choosing. Students worked diligently to create a portfolio to display for all of our Walworth students and family members to see. This aligns with our school's implementation of ACP (Academic and Career Planning) program. This will be an exciting event to attend!
If you are interested in attending, please check-in at the Welcome Center.

3rd Graders in Mrs. Niemuth's ELA classes enjoyed learning about the Native American Culture and Regions. They created some Native American crafts: dream catchers, weavings, and symbols on "Buffalo hide" or "teepees."

Last week the fourth grade visited Old World Wisconsin. They learned about life as a Norwegian immigrant, visited a schoolhouse from 1904, and learned about early pioneers and the simple machines they used. It was a great day of hands-on learning! #WalworthJ1 #OldWolrdWisconsin
