Walworth School Sunday Staff Spotlight Meet Mrs. Roemer ~ Art Teacher How long have you worked in the district? What is your background in education? This is my twelfth year at Walworth. I received my undergraduate degree and graduate degree in Art Education from UW-Whitewater. This was my first job right out of college! I actually interviewed for the job over the phone while on my honeymoon. Tell us about your family. Our family consists of myself, my husband Matt and our three sons, Dorian (8), Emerson (6), and Porter (4). My husband Matt and I have known each other since first grade and started dating in high school. He is the choir director at Badger High School and our three boys attend school in Lake Geneva where they are in 4K, 1st grade, and 3rd grade.  We also have a 11 year old Yorkshire Terrier named Lilo. What activities do you enjoy outside of school? I enjoy spending time with my family and taking walks around beautiful Lake Geneva. I also enjoy reading, exercising and making artwork whenever I can! What is your favorite family vacation? Our favorite family vacation is going to Disney World. We love the magic of Disney and are always looking forward to the next time we can go down again! What are you passionate about? I am passionate about learning/education/the arts. All of these things are connected for me and I firmly believe that we need to be constant learners who value our education and enrich our lives with the arts. #WalworthSundayStaffSpotlight #WalworthJ1

I was the lucky one today! So glad my little friend won the Winterfest raffle!  We had a wonderful time at Sammy's for dessert today. The entire time she thanked me and told me how happy she was! Such a deserving appreciative girl! 😍 Mrs.Niemuth #WalworthJ1

Today, Friday, February 22, 2019, will be Mrs. Lowenthal-Lambert’s last day teaching with the Walworth School District. She has accepted a position in another Big Foot Area School District. We are sad to see Mrs. Lowenthal-Lambert leave us, but we are happy for her as she embarks on this new professional journey within our own consortium! Mrs. Lowenthal-Lambert has taught at Walworth Elementary and Middle School for the past three years and has made many contributions to our school and leaves having made positive impact on students and their learning. Ms. Rebekah Sass will be joining our teaching staff for the remainder of this school year in the position held by Mrs. Lowenthal-Lambert. Ms. Sass is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Whitewater and holds a license for special education. Ms. Sass can be contacted through email at Rebekah.Sass@walworth.k12.wi.us. She has been working with Mrs. Lowenthal-Lambert this week so that we have a smooth transition for our students. Ms. Sass takes over the position full time on Monday, February 25, 2019. #WalworthJ1

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers that helped make the Wildcat Walk at Winterfest a huge success. Your efforts, whether you provided cakes and cupcakes or worked at the Walk, helped to create such a great time for so many children and adults. It takes a special person to want to give as freely as you have. With sincere thanks, Brenda Wenger Wildcat Walk Coordinator #WalworthParentsClub #WalworthJ1
