Our junior kindergarten and kindergarten classes enjoyed their last visit from Mrs. Craig, with the Dousman Bus Company. She read the wonderful book Bucket Filling From A to Z. This book provides such a good message about being a bucket filler in life. Then the children played a fun game where they sorted activities into Bucket Filler or Bucket Dipper buckets. Mrs. Craig gave each student a cute coloring page and a bookmark. We have all enjoyed every special visit of this terrific program throughout the school year! Thank you Mrs. Craig and Dousman Bus Company! #WalworthJ1

Mr. Heck and Mrs. Hajewski took the 6th grade students on a virtual field trip to London! The students planned out their itinerary and the cost of their trip. They received a boarding pass and took a flight to London, which included traditional British treats and in-flight entertainment. After arrival in London, the students got to go sightseeing (through 360 degree webcams) at all of London's famous landmarks and tourist attractions. Cheerio!

Wellness Tip #6 ~ Stay Active at Work
Adding some exercise outside of your normal job can
help to promote overall wellness both physically and
mentally. 🚶♂️🚶♀️
Here are five simple steps to promote taking a walk throughout your day:
1. Take 5 mins from your break time or lunch to get outside for a quick walk even if it’s down the parking lot and back. Allowing yourself this time will help you feel more relaxed and give you a burst of energy.
2. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
3. Post signs in conference rooms or offices to promote walking or standing meetings.
4. Get a walking group together to support and encourage each other to get up and move.
5. Park farther away when coming into work.
Remember every little bit adds up so pick 5-10 mins throughout your day to add not only steps in
your life but minutes onto your life!

The staff at Heyer’s True Value Hardware store provided our junior kindergarten students with an afternoon filled with incredible hands-on experiences. Seven stations were led by staff allowing children to engage in activities involving measurement, sawing, hammering, drilling, key making, painting, and creating/exploring nuts and bolts. Each child went home with treasures from this awesome day. Thank you Heyer’s for providing such rich experiences for our little ones! The kids loved every minute! #earlychildhoodeducation #WalworthJ1

Sunday Staff Spotlight
Meet Mrs. Weborg ~ Librarian
How long have you worked in the district? What is your background in education?
I volunteered at Walworth first, then became a substitute teacher, then a long term substitute teacher in the library and finally I became a full time teacher here 7 years ago. I earned my teaching degree from UW-Eau Claire and my Library Media Specialist license from
UW-Whitewater.
Where is your hometown?
I grew up in Sturgeon Bay, WI, which is in beautiful Door County! My husband grew up just north of Sturgeon Bay, and we met at a summer job just after we both completed collage.
Tell us about your family.
We have 2 wonderful young ladies. Taylor Grace is a junior at Bigfoot and Chloe is in 8th grade here at Walworth. We also have a dog names Sydney and a cat named Rey. The people in my picture would be my extended family. My parents, my 2 sisters and their families. We enjoy spending a lot of time together.
What is your favorite book?
I LOVE to read, and often have more than one book going at a time! My favorite book is whatever I’m currently reading! I enjoy reading middle school fiction books to recommend to our students, I enjoy reading picture books out loud to our younger students, and I enjoy reading nonfiction self help, DIY and biographies in the summer for myself.
What’s the best thing about working in the district?
I love working in a small, caring community. Our staff is amazing, our students are out of this world and I enjoy working just down the street from my home. I love that my girls and I have been able to go to school each day together and I know their classmates. I love that our school is small enough that I know each student here. I love that our students have the opportunity to try out many different areas of interest (music, sports, drama, IDC, forensics…) and feel welcome. Students in larger school districts don’t always have that opportunity.
