The Guidance Department hosted APFV (Association for the Prevention of Family Violence). APFV engaged eighth grade students by having them create and paint a project about having a strong sense of self-esteem. Students also learned about attributes of healthy relationships.

Last week the "Book Unicorn" stopped by room 214 to deliver some books to Mrs. Hajewski's 6th graders! The Book Unicorn stops by once a month to deliver a new book to each student in class. #WeLoveReading #WalworthJ1

Mrs. Hummel's class celebrated their wonderful accomplishment of filling the classroom piggy bank with 20 coins! A coin is earned when the whole class demonstrates Super Star status by respecting everyone, respecting learning, and respecting the environment. #WalworthJ1
Sparky the Fire Safety Dog and Wesley the Walworth Wildcat teamed up with the Walworth Fire Department to teach the junior kindergartners about fire safety. #WalworthJ1
Kindergarten students had a special visit to the Walworth Fire/Rescue Station. There they learned all about Fire Safety and were even able to test out some of the fire fighting equipment. Students headed back to school in style on top of a fire truck! 🚒 #WalworthJ1
Students in grades first through fourth enjoyed a visit from local firefighters. Students were reminded of fire safety rules and had the opportunity to ask the Walworth Fire/Rescue questions. It was awesome to see some former Walworth alumni! #WalworthFireRescue #WalworthJ1
The Winter Safety Summit will be Tuesday, November 27th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. During the time you will learn about social media in our students' lives, human trafficking, and alcohol, drugs, and tobacco today. #WalworthJ1
